🎉 Reflecting on 16 incredible years immersed in the world of wellness, with the last 5 blossoming into a full-time, fulfilling career!
It's been an amazing journey, and I wanted to share some key lessons that have resonated deeply, hoping they offer some inspiration for those who are in the journey:
Let's cultivate self-acknowledgment. Look in that mirror and offer praise, even on tough days! Acknowledge wins, efforts, and just showing up. Practice saying "thanks, me!" and even "I kinda dig you." Build that gratitude muscle; it gets easier! I personally start and end my days with gratitude journaling and a little zen. The bottom line: start and finish and in between the day with gratitude. In my practice, I talk about the Life Principle: Want it? Generate it! Want more positivity in life? don't wait for it! Generate it.
Expect wobbles – those "don't feel like" days. For those "nope, not today" moments, our trusty list of non-negotiable activities – our ninja moves – can save the day. Small, consistent actions keep us moving forward.
Mastery, my friends, is not in feeling like it. Mastery is doing non-negotiables whether you feel like it or not.
This is a marathon, not a sprint. Be kind to yourself; growth has its own rhythm. Ditch the internal drill sergeant! Stop, for goodness sake, self-bullying! Embrace self-compassion.
And remember, grace is also knowing when to stop working. Time management is self-love management. One of my non-negotiables: I manage my time.
Grace may also mean giving yourself a little extra now and not waiting until you 'deserve' that vacation. Choose that massage, that walk, that family time. The work messages? They'll be there. Life moves on.
Grace, love, quality time – that's what our heart truly wants. We're all works in progress, and rest is progress!
Mentors and supportive peers are HUGE. Seek those a step ahead and those who believe in you. Their wisdom and encouragement are gold.

Make journaling your confidante! I feel journaling (preferably by hand, and there is a science why) is a well-forgotten non-negotiable, but our physiology and psychology need that release and reflection on paper.
That is why last year I created "My Power Journal," a 3-month personal coach at your fingertips. I had used these transformative questions for years and finally decided to release it to the world. I love the "Positive Sandwich" sequence – good stuff, challenges, and how our awesome selves will tackle them.
Whether daily scribbles or big dreams, jotting it down helps keep our vision clear (and reveals truths!).
Let's intentionally fill our days with more positive inputs. A solid, simple support structure is key for a lighter, more powerful journey. Bad days happen, but with intention and a successful support system, we navigate them with strength. That change, that power keeps us going.
